All in a night’s work… and all in aid of charity

McCann copywriter, Kerry Harrison, has been busy training for the 2009 London Marathon and working hard to raise money for her chosen charity, also McCann Bristol’s dedicated charity, the National Autistic Society (NAS).

To help boost her fundraising, Kerry organised a pub quiz at the Hop House in Clifton Village Bristol, which took place on Thursday 13 March.  A team of us went along to test our general knowledge and support Kerry.  The evening was a great success and over £320 was raised.

The NAS provides incredible support to children, adults and families affected by Autism.

Kerry commented on the evening: “We had a brilliant night and I’m really grateful to everyone who came along to show their support and to help raise money for such an important cause.”

We look forward to seeing how much Kerry raises for NAS and will be supporting her all the way… including the big run!

McCann Bristol appoints corporate charity for 2009

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve nominated a charity for this year – the National Autistic Society. It’s a charity close to the hearts of several of our Bristol staff and one which we feel we can add real benefit to. We’ll be working with them on some pro bono projects throughout the year and also running (literally in the case of copywriter Kerry – who’s running theLondon marathon in aid of the NAS) some wild and wacky fundraisers. So far we’ve raised £100 in just one Friday lunchtime activity!
