Nearly 2 million Britons are addicted to gambling, or gambling at high risk levels. If you live in Bristol, the odds are especially against you, with increasing number of betting shops popping up all around the city. The big 3 bookies wouldn’t put their name to addressing the risks. So we did it for them.

Our campaign found words related to gambling addiction hidden in the bookies’ logos (such as ‘broke’ in ‘Ladbrokes’) and used the power of these words to create a hard-hitting campaign for mental health counselling charity, Changes Bristol. We then created our own high street betting shop, that was actually a drop-on counselling centre. By taking on the giants of bookmaking, we helped changed the lives of people with gambling addiction in Bristol.
